What is EU Regulation EC 261/2004?
EU Regulation EC 261/2004 is a European Union law that protects air passengers in case of flight disruptions. It ensures that travelers are compensated or assisted by airlines under specific conditions, such as:
- Flight delays (3 hours or more)
- Flight cancellations
- Denied boarding due to overbooking
- Missed connections caused by previous delays

Who is covered?
You may be eligible under EC 261 if:
- Your flight departs from any EU airport (regardless of the airline), or
- Your flight arrives in the EU with an EU-based airline.
